How to grow Microgreens?| മണ്ണില്ലാതെ തന്നെ ഇലച്ചെടികൾ വളർത്തിയെടുക്കാം| Microgreen Malayalam

Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are approximately 1–3 inches (2.5–7.5 cm) tall. Microgreens are considered baby plants, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby green. You can use broccoli, mung bean, soya bean, wheat, sunflower and many more...

Microgreens are more similar to baby greens in that only their stems and leaves are considered edible. However, unlike baby greens, they are much smaller in size and can be sold before being harvested.

Uses Of Microgreens:

  • They are rich in potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium and copper
  • They are rich in antioxidants
  • they often contain higher vitamin, mineral and antioxidant levels than the same quantity of mature greens
  • Microgreens deliver a concentrated dose of nutrients and beneficial plant compounds. As a result, they may reduce the risk of certain diseases.

Microgreens are generally considered safe to eat. When growing them at home, pay special attention to the quality of the seeds and growing mediums used.

How To Grow:

I have followed a simple method of using tissue paper which every one can easily use at home. All you need are some tissue paper, a tray and few seeds.
I have used moon dal seeds, which was soaked overnight. I soaked them for about 10-12hrs and was able to see sprouts as well.
