How to make tomato puree | How to store tomato puree in fridge for longtime

Tomato puree is a cooking essential you might be missing. Tomato puree is silky smooth and free of any seeds or skin that can be directly used in any dishes like pasta sauce, tomato-based soups, and even in many Indian recipes like daal, etc. The amount you make is flexible, and the recipe is so simple that whenever we want we can make as much as we can.

We can always make fresh tomato puree instead of canned one and the method is always simple. I usually store tomato puree for 1-2 weeks but if you freeze them you can even store them for months. When tomatoes are cheap you can always store tomatoes for the future using this method. Tomatoes can even be frozen if you don't wish to make a puree out of them. I am planning to do detailed research on storing tomatoes.

Ingredients:

tomatoes - as much as we want

Procedure:
  • Blend together all tomatoes and make sure you don't blend the seeds.
  • Seive juice, remove seeds and skin
  • place the blended juice on the stovetop
