Most of us always prefer making something out of bread for snacks or for dinner as they are quick and easy. And to our surprise, there are many surprises you could make with bread. Most of us always have surplus bread at home and you can try new recipes each day at home. So today I am sharing a simple egg stuffed bread recipe that anyone can try and you can have it as a perfect snack with a hot cup of tea. You can replace the stuffing with any type of stuffing either veg or non-veg and make your own personal favorite. Because my son likes eggs I am making a simple stuffing with onion, tomato, and eggs. For vegetarians, you can replace it with simple potato masala or even mixed veggies. Or else you can simply go for a cheese fill option. Those who prefer non-veg can make stuffing with chicken too.

Ingredients: |
- bread - 5nos
- maida/cornflour - 3tsp
- oil - for frying
- ginger garlic finely chopped - 1tsp
- onion - 1
- tomato - 1
- turmeric powder- 1/2tsp
- chili powder- 1tsp
- coriander powder - 1/2tsp
- garam masala - 1/2tsp
- tomato sauce - 1tsp
- soy sauce - 1tsp
- egg - 4
- salt - as required
Procedure: |
Pre-Preparation:
- Trim the edges of the bread and reserve the edges for making bread crumbs.
- For making bread crumbs dry roast the edges that we reserved or microwave them until they are crispy
- Blend the crispy edges to crumbs
- Mix 3tsp of maida/cornflour with water to make a slurry to coat the bread balls later
- Boil 3-4 egg and can slice them into 4 pieces each
Make stuffing: - In a pan add some oil, to that add 1tsp of finely chopped ginger-garlic. Saute well
- Add 1 sliced onion and saute well.
- When the onion is slightly soft add 1 tomato and saute well.
- Cook until tomatoes are really soft.
- Add 1/2tsp of turmeric, 1tsp chili powder, 1/2tsp coriander powder, 1/2 garam masala, and saute well.
- Add a dash of water and cook masala so that they don't get burnt
- When tomatoes are really smushy add 1tsp reach of tomato sauce and soy sauce
- combines well
- take a slice of bread and spread some water and make it slightly wet
- place an egg slice in middle along with the onion filling
- fold and make a ball
- dip the bread ball with maida slurry and then coat it with bread crumbs
- now egg stuffing is safely secured inside
- freeze the bread balls for 15mins
- after 15mins deep fry the bread balls until golden brown.
