Paneer, it is something without which vegetarians can't live with.
 There are much variety of paneer recipes available and here is my version of making paneer masala.

How to make paneer at home




Ingredients:



  • paneer - 200gms
  • ginger - an inch
  • garlic - 3pods
  • green chilli - 2
  • onion - 2medium
  • tomato - 2medium
  • turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
  • chilli powder - 1tsp
  • coriander powder - 3/4tsp
  • coriander leaves 
  • Kasuri methi 
  • garam masala - 1tsp
  • milk/coconut milk - 1/2cup
  • Oil
  • Salt








Procedure:


  • Cut paneer in cubes
  • Shallow fry paneer in a mix of chilli powder, turmeric, and salt
  • Just fry for less than 1min
  • Don't fry for long time because paneer become hard on frying for long time
  • Transfer the fried paneer cubes to a plate.
  • In a kadai add 2 tsp of oil
  • When oil is hot add finely chopped ginger, garlic, green chilli
  • Saute it to golden
  • Then add finely chopped onion 
  • To that add salt and saute until onion are really soft
  • Then to that add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder
  • Cook until raw smell of spices are gone
  • When spices are done add 2 medium smashed tomatoes 
  • Cook until oil releases from sides
  • Then add hot water according to consistency 
  • Cook for 2mins add then add fried paneer to it
  • Again cook for 2mins and add coriander leaves, kasurimethi and garam masala
  • Again cook for 2-3mins and finally add 1/4cup of milk to it. You can either add coconut milk or normal milk
  • After adding milk don't boil 
  • Immediately remove from flame
