Beef cutlet is a party snack where beef cooked with spices, dipped in an egg mix, and then in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. An appetizer never missed out at parties, especially in a Kerala home. Beef cutlets can be made as spicy as you can. As any cutlet variety beef cutlet is also easy to make and simple, unless you follow some basic steps:
Note:
- no water should be left in beef while pressure cooking
- chop all very finely
- use bread crumbs in portions or else complete bread crumb will become wet at once
- do not fry for a long time, because only outer portion needs to be cooked
Ingredients:
- boneless beef - 450gms
- chili powder - 1.5tsp
- turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
- ginger garlic paste - 1/2tsp
- onion- 3 medium
- green chillies - 3
- ginger - 2inch
- garlic -5pods
- crushed fennel seeds - 1tsp
- pepper powder - 1tsp
- garam masala - 1tsp
- potato - 3medium
- eggs - 2
- bread crumbs
- oil
- salt
- curry leaves
Procedure:
- Pressure cook beef, 1/2tspchilli powder, 1/2turmeric powder, 1/2tsp salt, 1/2tspginger-garlic chopped.
- Pressure cook for 3-4 whistle, do not add water while pressure cooking
- No water should be left, if left again cook until no water.
- Leave cooked beef to cool down
- Chop finely - onion- 3, green chillies - 3, ginger -2inchpiece, garlic -5
- Mince the cooked beef, no big pieces should be there
- In a Kadai add 2tsp of oil and saute well all the finely chopped - onion- 3, green chilies - 3, ginger -2inchpiece, garlic -5
- Add salt, crushed fennel seeds-1tsp, chili powder-1tsp, pepper powder-1tsp, turmeric powder -1/2tsp
- Saute well
- Add garam masala- 1tsp, finely chopped curry leaves
- Saute well
- Add minced beef
- Combines well
- Add cooked smashed 3 potatoes and combines well
- perfectly cook and allow to cool down
- when cooled, knead with a hand
- make small balls and press to small circles
- take 2 eggs and beat well and also need bread crumbs
- dip each cutlet in beaten egg and then in bread crumbs
- use bread crumbs in portions or else complete bread will become wet at once
- fry in oil
- flip in between
- don't fry for a long time, because only the outer portion needs to be cooked
- serve hot with tea, Enjoy!!
