Ingredients
- raw papaya
- coconut grated - 1cup
- finely chopped onion
- dried red chilli
- curry leaves
- mustard seeds
- jeera - 1/2tsp
- garlic pods - 2
- green chilli -2
- turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
Procedure:
- Finely chop raw papaya and onion
- Start with tempering and add finely chopped papaya and onion and saute well
- Wait until they are cooked.
- Add water if really necessary only, or else close and cook well
- Make a coarse mixture of grated coconut, jeera, green chilli, turmeric and garlic pods
- Add this coarse mixture to cooked papaya
- Combine well and wait for coconut to cook for a while
- Papaya thoran/ Papaya Stir-fry with coconut is ready to serve
